Antique is 70 percent ready to host the 2017 Palarong Pambansa, set to take place from April 23 to 29.
Palarong Pambansa Organizing Committee chairperson Arthur Lastimoso said the rubberized track oval is currently being installed at the Binirayan Sports Complex, which will be completed within 14 days.
Meanwhile, around 30 schools are ready to provide accommodations for student-athletes from across the country. The Department of Education provided P30 million for school rehabilitation in preparation for the event.
Earlier, the Antique Electric Cooperative (Anteco) assured schools will be provided with power transformers, along with around the clock deployment of personnel in every town./WDJ
