2017 Palarong Pambansa Sporting venues revealed

Antique’s first hosting of the Palarong Pambansa begins next month, on April 23, and the Department of Education (DepEd) recently revealed the sporting venues which will feature multiple events.
The Binirayan Sports Complex in San Jose de Buenavista will host most of the activities, including athletics, aquatics, and aero gymnastics. It will also host some basketball, tennis, futsal, and football matches, along with some special events.
St. Anthony’s College (SAC), also in San Jose de Buenavista, will host badminton and wushu competitions. The school grounds will also be home to some football matches.
Other San Jose-based venues include Robinsons Place Antique, which will host billiards; EBJ Freedom Park, where spectators can watch boxing; the San Fernando Gym, which will host wrestling; baseball and softball will be played at Camp General Leandro Fullon; the San Pedro gym will host some basketball games; the Antique National School covered court will feature pencak silat and dancesport; table tennis at the Antique Electric Cooperative covered court; sepak takraw and sipa will be played at the Delegate Angel Salazar, Jr. Memorial School covered court and the Diosdado Macapagal Trade Center; along with other special events at the Antique SPED Center.
The town of Sibalom will also host multiple sports, including archery at the Pis-anan National High School track oval; chess at the University of Antique library; and volleyball at the University of Antique gym, the Sibalom municipal gym, the Sta. Rita Academy gym, and the Barangay Egaña gym.
The University of Antique will also host some football matches.
Hamtic will also host football at the Julian Pacificador High School, along with basketball at the Guinsang-an gym and futsal at the Hamtic basketball court.
Other venues include arnis at the Patnongon Municipal gym, taekwondo at the Belison Municipal gym, and tennis at the San Pedro Barangay Sports Plaza.
Basketball and football will also be hosted at the Bugasong Municipal gym and the Belison football field, respectively./WDJ
