A rookie Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) cop was recently dismissed after being found guilty on grave misconduct charges filed back in 2009.
However, NOPPO Director, Police Senior Superintendent William Señoron, said Police Officer 1 (PO1) Leopoldo Delloso also faces a separate administrative charge in last year’s killing of Jason Brinquis in a Toboso jail.
In June of last year, a drunk Brinquis was brought to the Toboso Municipal Police Station where Delloso allegedly punched him in the stomach, reportedly causing him to die two days later due to an internal hemorrhage.
Señoron called the issue a separate matter and there is no decision on it yet./WDJ
