Capitol turns over nearly P7M for barangay projects

The Negros Occidental provincial government turned over checks worth P6.9 million, intended to fund projects in 22 barangays across the province.
Beneficiaries include Barangay Consing in EB Magalona; Barangay Salvacion in Murcia; Barangays Don Jorge Araneta, Caridad, Binubuhan, Bagroy, Tabunan, Taloc, Calumangan, and Bacong in Bago City; Barangays San Pedro, Enclaro, Sto. Rosario, Progreso, Santol, and San Juan in Binalbagan; Barangay Su-ay in Himamaylan City; Barangay Bulwangan in Hinoba-an; Barangays Haba, Agboy, and East in Candoni; and Barangay Tapi in Kabankalan City.
The funding will be used to construct footpaths, purchase of a multi-purpose vehicle, de-clog drainage canals, acquire health supplies and equipment, repair a barangay hall, construct a perimeter fence and a water dike, among other projects.
