Beach Volleyball Republic tour heads to Lakawon this weekend

The country’s top volleyball players will converge today in Lakawon Island for the Beach Volleyball Republic (BVR) tour, which will run for two days at the resort island.
The event is comprised of 16 teams, divided by gender, including teams representing Bacolod City, Silay City, and Iloilo City.
Local athletes competing on the women’s side include Jennifer Cosas, Sheryl Laborte, Erjane Magdato, Alexa Polidario, Dhannalyn Mae Demontaño, Jackielyn Estoquia, Rosel Sy, and Shaira Lim.
Meanwhile, the men’s side will feature Julianmar Perez, Carl Lawrence Pardilla, Deanne Neil De Pedro, Herold Parcia, Jonmar Aguillon, Ralph Savellano, Belson Ocampo, and Jason Laboyo.
BVR is scheduled to return to the region from May 6 to 7 with a stop in Guimaras./WDJ
