Bacolod City Councilor Em Ang was appointed presiding officer of the 37th regular session of the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP), in observance of International Women’s Month.
Ang was appointed by Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, while City Councilor Sonya Verdeflor was appointed Majority Floor Leader, which was held by Councilor Caesar Distrito.
Over the next three sessions, City Councilors Verdeflor, Cindy Rojas, and Ana Marie Palermo will also be appointed presiding officers, and all four female councilors will also take turns as majority floor leader./WDJ
