Negros Island Region (NIR) secondary boys basketball head coach Dennis Tumayan recently expressed his concern about the provided accommodations for the upcoming 2017 Palarong Pambansa in Antique, saying it takes around 45 minutes to get to the venue.
It was earlier reported Tobias Fomier Catholic School and Dao Catholic High School would be providing accommodations for the NIR delegation. Both locations are 28 kilometers away from the hosting venue, the Binirayan Sports Complex.
Meanwhile, Tumayan said preparations for the competition are underway, noting they are preparing to face some of the top cagers in the country. NIR is set to face teams including the National Capital Region (NCR), Cebu, among others.
The team roster includes Dave Agbas, Aldrich Agupitan, Bonifacio Balontong III, Mark Bryant Bandojo, Aldave Dale Canoy, Daniel Anthony Coo, RC Mike Flores, James Garrucho, Rhodyan Gonzaludo, Polo Miguel Lopingco, Philip John Majometamo, and Kaj Artton Ruiz Pillo./WDJ
