Bago City holds motorcade, pays tribute to local Palarong NIR athletes

The Bago City Arnis team, who were declared the overall champion in the recent Palarong NIR, paid a visit to Acting Mayor Ramon Torres at the Mayor’s Office, recently.

Bago City welcomed home the over 150 athletes and coaches that took part in the recent Palarong NIR in Dumaguete City with a motorcade around the city, paying tribute to their achievements.
In total, the city garnered 26 gold, 34 silver, and 32 bronze medals.
“Bago City is home of the champions,” said Division Sports Coordinator Leo Dayot. “It took a lot of hard work, perseverance, and patience to achieve our goal.”
Meanwhile, Bago City Schools Division Career Executive Service Officer (CESO) VI Ma. Lorlinie Ortillo said the competition brought the region together.
“The regional athletic competition proved the capacity of sports to unite all the delegations and to unleash the power and skills of our sports enthusiasts,” she said.
